Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 230V VE.Bus

The Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 combines a pure sine wave inverter, an intelligent 50A battery charger and a fast 16A transfer switch in one compact unit. Designed for 12V electrical systems, it provides a dependable power solution for campervans, motorhomes, boats, off-grid installations and backup power systems.

The inverter delivers 1200VA of continuous capacity, equivalent to 1000W at 25°C, with up to 2400W peak power for equipment with higher start-up demands. Its clean 230V pure sine wave output is suitable for sensitive electronics as well as everyday appliances.

When a compatible shore supply or generator is connected, the MultiPlus automatically passes the incoming AC power through to connected equipment while its adaptive 50A charger replenishes the leisure battery bank. If the external supply fails, it switches to inverter operation in less than 20 milliseconds, allowing most electronic equipment to continue operating without disruption.

Victron PowerControl prevents a limited shore connection or generator from being overloaded by adjusting the battery-charging current around other connected loads. PowerAssist can also supplement the available external supply with energy from the battery when additional power is temporarily required.

VE.Bus connectivity enables advanced configuration, system integration and optional remote monitoring. The MultiPlus does not have Bluetooth built in, but Bluetooth monitoring and control can be added with a compatible VE.Bus Smart Dongle. Internet-based monitoring through the VRM portal requires a compatible GX device.

Technical specifications

Installation requires appropriately sized batteries, cables, fuses and AC protection. The unit should be installed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with Victron’s instructions and applicable regulations.
