Advanced Campervan Electrical Kit – Fogstar Drift ECO 314Ah
Build a dependable campervan power system with the Nomadic Leisure Advanced Campervan Electrical Kit, featuring a Fogstar Drift ECO 12V 314Ah lithium leisure battery.
Combining a Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 inverter/charger, solar charging, alternator charging and a choice of monitoring packages, this kit brings the main electrical components together in one package.
Designed for campervan conversions and electrical upgrades, it provides flexible charging from solar, your vehicle’s alternator and shore power, alongside equipment for electrical protection and organised power distribution.
Fogstar Drift ECO 314Ah Lithium Battery
The kit includes 1 × Fogstar Drift ECO 12V 314Ah lithium leisure battery, providing energy storage for your campervan’s leisure electrical system.
It powers your connected DC equipment and supplies suitable 230V appliances through the MultiPlus inverter. Available runtime depends on your appliance demands, charging conditions and energy use.
With the battery package already selected, you can focus on choosing the solar, alternator-charging and monitoring options that suit your vehicle.
Victron MultiPlus Inverter and Shore-Power Charging
At the heart of the kit is the Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 inverter/charger.
It provides pure sine wave 230V AC power from your leisure battery, allowing you to operate suitable appliances while away from mains hook-up.
When connected to a suitable shore-power supply, the MultiPlus recharges the battery and supplies the connected AC equipment. Appliance running loads and starting demands must remain within the inverter’s capabilities.
A Digital Multi Control is included with the BMV-712 monitoring option, providing convenient remote operation and adjustment of the shore-current limit.
Choose Your Solar Package
Select the solar configuration that best suits your roof layout and charging requirements:
-
2 × 190W monocrystalline solar panels — 380W total, supplied with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30
-
1 × 235W monocrystalline solar panel — supplied with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20
Your panel selection determines the supplied MPPT controller, so there is no separate controller option to choose.
Both packages use Maximum Power Point Tracking technology to make effective use of the available sunlight and charge your leisure battery.
The twin-panel package offers greater total solar capacity, while the single-panel package provides an alternative for roof layouts better suited to one panel. Check panel dimensions against your available roof space before selecting.
Solar mounting, cabling, roof-entry and isolation equipment are included to suit the chosen configuration.
Choose Your DC-DC Charger
Select the alternator-charging option that suits your vehicle and charging requirements:
-
Victron Orion XS 50A DC-DC Charger
-
Victron Orion XS 70A DC-DC Charger
Both options use power from your vehicle’s alternator to charge the leisure battery while the engine is running.
The 70A option offers greater charging capacity, helping replenish the battery more quickly where the alternator and installation can support it. Charging settings must suit the battery’s requirements and the vehicle’s available alternator capacity.
Choose Your Monitoring Package
Choose how you would like to monitor your campervan electrical system:
-
Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor — a dedicated battery display showing state of charge, voltage, current and energy use, with Bluetooth access through VictronConnect.
-
Victron Cerbo GX MK2 with GX Touch 50 — a touchscreen monitoring package providing a central view of connected Victron equipment, charging activity and system information.
The BMV-712 provides straightforward battery monitoring, while the Cerbo GX MK2 and GX Touch 50 offer a broader view of your connected electrical system.
Three Ways to Charge
The Advanced kit supports charging from three sources:
-
Solar power through the matched SmartSolar MPPT controller
-
Alternator power through your selected Orion XS DC-DC charger
-
Shore power through the MultiPlus inverter/charger
This gives you flexible ways to replenish your leisure battery while driving, staying on a campsite or spending time off-grid.
Electrical Protection and Distribution
The kit includes selected AC and DC protection equipment, busbars and connection components to support an organised electrical installation.
Separate AC input and output consumer units are supplied, alongside battery and circuit protection equipment and a DC solar isolator.
The package also includes a mains hook-up inlet and 25m shore-power lead for connection to a suitable external mains supply.
Installation Components Included
Supporting equipment includes installation cabling, solar mounting components, fuse protection, cable-entry components and associated terminals and connectors.
These components are selected around your chosen kit configuration, reducing the need to source the main installation accessories individually.
Wiring Schematic Included
Every kit includes an easy-to-follow wiring schematic designed in-house by Nomadic Leisure.
The schematic is tailored to your selected kit configuration, showing how the main charging, battery, monitoring, protection and distribution components connect. It provides a clear reference for your installer and helps take the guesswork out of planning your campervan electrical system.
