Bring solar charging, alternator charging and off-grid inverter power together with the Nomadic Leisure Advanced Campervan Electrical Kit, featuring a Fogstar Drift Gen2 12V 230Ah lithium leisure battery.

Built around the Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 inverter/charger, this campervan electrical package combines trusted equipment with flexible solar, DC-DC charging and monitoring options.

The kit includes supporting installation components and an easy-to-follow wiring schematic designed in-house by Nomadic Leisure, helping you plan how the supplied equipment fits together.

Fogstar Drift Gen2 230Ah Lithium Leisure Battery

A Fogstar Drift Gen2 12V 230Ah lithium leisure battery provides the system’s energy storage, supplying your campervan’s DC equipment and suitable 230V appliances through the MultiPlus inverter.

This fixed battery package is paired with your choice of solar panels, Orion XS charger and monitoring equipment, allowing you to tailor the charging and display options to your conversion.

Battery runtime will depend on your connected appliances, daily energy consumption and available charging.

Victron MultiPlus 12/1200 Inverter/Charger

The Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 combines a pure sine wave inverter and mains battery charger in one unit.

When travelling away from mains hook-up, it converts battery power into 230V AC electricity for suitable appliances. When connected to an appropriate shore-power supply, it supplies the AC installation and recharges the leisure battery.

Appliance running loads and starting demands must remain within the inverter’s capabilities.

A Digital Multi Control is supplied with the BMV-712 monitoring option, allowing convenient remote operation and adjustment of the shore-current limit.

Solar Panels with a Matched MPPT Controller

Choose between two campervan solar packages:

• 380W package: 2 × 190W monocrystalline solar panels with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30
• 235W package: 1 × 235W monocrystalline solar panel with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20

The MPPT controller is determined by your solar-panel selection, keeping the panels and controller matched without an additional option to configure.

The 380W package provides greater total solar capacity. The 235W package offers a single-panel alternative where its dimensions better suit your roof layout.

Both packages include solar mounting, cabling, roof-entry and isolation equipment appropriate to the selected configuration. Check panel dimensions against your available roof space before ordering.

Charge While Driving with an Orion XS

Make use of travelling time to replenish your leisure battery with your choice of:

• Victron Orion XS 50A DC-DC Charger
• Victron Orion XS 70A DC-DC Charger

These chargers take power from your vehicle’s alternator to charge the leisure battery while the engine is running.

The 70A model offers a higher charging output where the vehicle and installation can support it. The charger must be configured to suit the battery’s charging requirements and the alternator’s available capacity.

Choose Your Battery and System Display

Select the monitoring package that suits how you want to view your electrical system:

• Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor — a dedicated battery display showing state of charge, voltage, current and energy use, with Bluetooth access through VictronConnect.
• Victron Cerbo GX MK2 with GX Touch 50 — a touchscreen package providing a central view of connected Victron equipment, charging activity and system information.

The BMV-712 offers a convenient way to check the battery directly, while the Cerbo GX MK2 and GX Touch 50 provide a broader overview of connected equipment.

Solar, Alternator and Mains Charging

Three charging sources give you flexibility throughout your journey:

• Solar charging when suitable sunlight is available
• Alternator charging while driving
• Mains charging when connected to a suitable shore-power supply

This combination supports different travel routines, from regular campsite stays to trips with longer periods away from mains hook-up.

Power Distribution and Electrical Protection

The package includes selected busbars, battery and circuit protection equipment, and connection accessories for an organised AC and DC installation.

Separate AC input and output consumer units are supplied, together with a DC solar isolator, mains hook-up inlet and 25m shore-power lead.

Installation cabling, solar mounting components, cable-entry equipment and associated terminals and connectors are selected around your chosen kit configuration.

Every kit comes with an easy-to-follow wiring schematic created in-house by Nomadic Leisure.

The schematic is tailored to your selected configuration and shows how the main charging, battery, monitoring, protection and distribution components connect.

It provides a clear reference for your installer and helps take the guesswork out of planning the electrical layout.
