Can I monitor the Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/800 from my phone or computer?

Yes, you can. The inverter features a VE.Direct communication port. To connect it to a computer, you will need a VE.Direct to USB interface cable. For Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or MacBooks, you will need a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle.

What is ECO mode and how does it help with my battery?

ECO mode helps reduce power consumption by switching the inverter to standby when the load drops below a preset value (minimum 15W). In standby, it briefly wakes up every 2.5 seconds by default to check if the load has increased, remaining on only when the preset level is exceeded.

Will this inverter handle tools or lamps that need a lot of power to start up?

Yes, the Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/800 is designed with high start-up power, which is specifically needed to start loads like electric tools or power converters for halogen and LED lamps.

Is the inverter protected against overheating or short circuits?

Yes. Thanks to its full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology, this inverter is short circuit proof and protected against overheating caused by either high ambient temperatures or overloads.
