Victron Phoenix Charger 24V 16A (2+1) 230V (PCH024016001)

The Victron Phoenix Charger 24V 16A is an intelligent battery charger designed for 24V battery systems. Featuring adaptive four-stage charging and multiple battery outputs, it provides reliable charging for marine, vehicle and off-grid applications.

With two main charging outputs and an additional 4A output, the charger is particularly useful for installations with separate service and starter batteries.

Victron Phoenix Charger 24V 16A

The Phoenix Charger uses microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management to automatically adjust charging according to battery use.

Its four-stage charging process includes bulk, absorption, float and storage. This helps maintain battery performance while reducing unnecessary overcharging during extended periods of connection.

Adaptive Four-Stage Battery Charging

This 24V 16A battery charger automatically manages the charging process to suit battery condition and usage.

During bulk charging, the charger supplies current to replenish the battery. The absorption stage then completes the charging process before switching to float.

Storage mode reduces the charging voltage during extended periods of inactivity, helping minimise battery ageing.

Multiple Battery Charging Outputs

The Phoenix features two main outputs capable of charging separate battery banks. Both share the charger's maximum 16A output.

An additional 4A auxiliary output can be used to maintain a smaller battery, such as a starter battery.

This three output battery charger is particularly useful for installations requiring charging across multiple battery banks without separate chargers.

BatterySafe Mode and Temperature Compensation

BatterySafe mode helps prevent excessive gassing by controlling how quickly the charging voltage increases.

Temperature compensation adjusts the charging voltage according to battery temperature, supporting more appropriate charging in changing conditions.

The Victron battery charger also supports voltage sensing to compensate for voltage losses in battery cables.

Suitable Applications

This marine battery charger is suitable for a range of 24V installations, including:

• Boats and yachts

• Marine service and starter battery systems

• Campervans and motorhomes with 24V systems

• Commercial vehicles

• Off-grid battery installations

• Multi-bank battery charging systems

Its adaptive charging technology and multiple outputs make it a practical solution for maintaining separate battery banks.
