Victron EasySolar-II 24/3000/70-32 MPPT 250/70 GX

The Victron EasySolar-II 24/3000/70-32 MPPT 250/70 GX is an all-in-one power solution for 24V off-grid, marine, motorhome and expedition vehicle electrical systems. It combines a powerful inverter charger, SmartSolar MPPT charge controller and GX monitoring device inside one enclosure.

3000VA Inverter and 70A Battery Charger

The integrated inverter produces a pure sine wave 230V AC output from a 24V battery bank. With a rating of 3000VA and 2400W continuous output at 25°C, it can power a wide range of domestic and off-grid appliances.

When shore power or a generator is connected, the built-in charger can deliver up to 70A to the 24V battery bank. The 32A transfer switch automatically manages the changeover between the external AC supply and inverter power.

Victron’s fast transfer technology helps maintain power to connected equipment if shore or generator power is lost.

Integrated SmartSolar MPPT 250/70

Solar charging is managed by the built-in Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr charge controller. It accepts a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 250V and provides up to 70A of solar charging current.

When used with a 24V battery system, the solar controller supports a recommended maximum PV array of 2000W. Its MPPT technology continually adjusts the operating point of the panels to obtain as much usable energy as possible from the available sunlight.

Built-In GX System Monitoring

The EasySolar-II includes a built-in GX device, removing the need to purchase a separate Cerbo GX for basic system control and monitoring.

The GX platform brings information from compatible Victron equipment together in one place. Once connected to the internet, the system can also be monitored remotely through the Victron Remote Management portal, allowing you to view solar production, battery performance, inverter status and historical system data.

A compatible Victron battery monitor, such as a SmartShunt, can be added to provide accurate battery state-of-charge and power-consumption information.

PowerControl and PowerAssist

PowerControl allows the maximum shore or generator input current to be set. The EasySolar-II then considers the connected AC loads before using the remaining available power to charge the batteries, helping prevent a limited external supply from being overloaded.

PowerAssist can supplement the shore or generator supply with energy from the battery bank when demand temporarily exceeds the available input. When demand falls, the spare capacity can be used to recharge the batteries.

Suitable Batteries

The EasySolar-II 24/3000 must be connected to a 24V battery bank. It can be configured for compatible lithium, AGM, gel and lead-acid batteries.

For a high-capacity lithium installation, consider the Fogstar Drift GEN2 24V 300Ah lithium leisure battery. Victron lithium batteries can also be used with the appropriate compatible Victron battery management system.

Battery capacity, BMS capability, DC cabling and circuit protection must all be suitable for the inverter’s potential current demand.
