Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50

The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 is a powerful 48V inverter charger designed for off-grid, hybrid and backup power systems. Combining a 5000VA pure sine wave inverter, 70A battery charger and automatic transfer switch, it provides reliable 230V electricity and intelligent power management.

With PowerAssist technology, two AC outputs and VE.Bus connectivity, this inverter charger is ideal for demanding residential, marine and off-grid installations.

Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 – Intelligent Off-Grid Power

This 48V inverter charger delivers 4000W of continuous power at 25°C, with a peak output of 9000W. This provides capacity for compatible appliances and equipment with high starting demands.

When mains or generator electricity is available, the integrated adaptive charger replenishes the battery bank.

PowerControl manages charging demand to help prevent overloading limited AC supplies. PowerAssist supplements incoming electricity with battery energy when additional power is required.

The automatic transfer switch provides rapid switching to inverter operation during external power interruptions.

Two AC outputs allow essential equipment to remain powered by the inverter, while selected appliances operate only when external electricity is available.

The unit can also form part of a compatible Victron Energy Storage System (ESS), alongside suitable solar equipment and monitoring devices.

This model requires a compatible 48V battery bank. Ensure batteries, cables, fuses and protective devices are correctly sized.

Install the unit in a suitable, well-ventilated location and follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidance.

Bluetooth is not built in. Compatible accessories are required for Bluetooth connectivity, while VRM monitoring requires a GX device and internet connection.

Solar charging requires separate compatible equipment. Grid-connected installations must comply with applicable electrical regulations.
