The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 12/4k/160-32 is a powerful 12V inverter charger that combines an inverter and battery charger in a single unit. Designed for demanding off-grid, vehicle and marine electrical systems, it provides reliable 230V AC power from a battery bank while also providing intelligent battery charging when an external AC supply is available.
The MultiPlus-II features Victron's PowerControl and PowerAssist technology. PowerControl helps prevent a limited shore power or generator supply from becoming overloaded, while PowerAssist can supplement the available AC supply with power from the battery when demand temporarily exceeds the available input.
When shore or generator power is disconnected, the MultiPlus-II automatically switches to inverter operation to maintain power to connected equipment. Its built-in UPS functionality provides a fast transfer, making it suitable for equipment that requires a continuous AC supply.
The integrated charger provides up to 160A of battery charging current, while the 32A transfer switch allows external AC power to be passed through to connected loads when available. VE.Bus connectivity also allows the MultiPlus-II to integrate with compatible Victron GX devices for system monitoring and control.
