Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 is a powerful solar charge controller designed to maximise the energy harvested from your solar panels. Suitable for 12V and 24V battery systems, it provides up to 50A of charging current for campervans, motorhomes, boats and off-grid installations.

Victron’s ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking technology continually adjusts the controller to find the most productive operating point of the solar array. This helps deliver more usable energy to your batteries, particularly during cloudy weather, changing light levels and partial shading.

Built-in Bluetooth allows you to connect directly through the VictronConnect app without requiring an additional dongle. From your phone or tablet, you can view live solar performance, review historical data, change charging settings and install firmware updates.

The SmartSolar 100/50 supports up to 700W of nominal solar power on a 12V battery system or 1400W on a 24V system. Its programmable charging profiles support a wide range of lead-acid and compatible lithium batteries, while adaptive multi-stage charging helps maintain performance and battery life.

A VE.Direct communication port allows integration with compatible Victron GX devices, displays and monitoring equipment. When connected to a GX device with internet access, system information can also be viewed remotely through the Victron Remote Management portal.

With a maximum efficiency of 98%, silent fanless operation and comprehensive electronic protection, the SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 is an excellent choice for larger mobile and off-grid solar systems.

Technical specifications

The solar array’s maximum open-circuit voltage—including the effect of low temperatures—must remain below 100V. The PV short-circuit current must not exceed 60A.
