- Remote Control: Utilise the Direct non-inverting remote on/off cable to conveniently control your BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers from a distance. This feature streamlines your solar power management, offering ease of use and efficient control.
- No Onboard Terminal Required: Specifically designed for models without an onboard Remote On/Off terminal, this cable ensures compatibility and effective remote operation. Note that larger SmartSolar models come with an onboard terminal, eliminating the need for this cable.
- Enable and Disable Charging: The charger is activated when the cable signal is high and deactivated when the source signal is pulled low or left free-floating. This functionality provides you with precise control over your solar charging process.
- VE.Direct Port Considerations: It's important to note that when using this cable, the VE. Direct port cannot be utilised for other purposes, such as connecting to a GX device or a VE. Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle on a BlueSolar charger. This ensures dedicated functionality for remote on/off control.
- Configuration: For models featuring a load output (75/10, 75/15, 100/15 & 100/20), VictronConnect is needed to adjust settings. Other models have their VE. Direct RX pin set to Remote on/off by default, requiring no additional configuration.
Note that when using this cable, it's not possible to use the VE.Direct port for any other purpose. Such as connecting to a GX device, or for example a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle on a BlueSolar charger.
